BrittonBritton is honored to welcome Stockholms Auktionsverk as our new client and partner

Since before the summer holidays, BrittonBritton has started a hopefully longterm and rewarding collaboration with Stockholms Auktionsverk (Stockholm's Auction Chamber). It's a most honoring and obligating mission, as Stockholms Auktionsverk is the world's oldest auction house, no less, founded in Stockholm in 1674. In 2010, it is Sweden's leading auction house, with a long string of historic records set in recent years, including the sale of Anders Zorn's watercolour "Sommarnöje" from 1886, which sold for SEK 26 million last spring, the most expensive object ever in Swedish auction history.

We are still in the upstart of our collaboration and have yet produced only a small number of units. With time, the ambition is that our commission will encompass all aspects of this fantastic auctions house's brand communication. Our collaboration starts in a situation of brutally intensified competition in the Swedish auction market, where the main competitor Bukowskis this fall has lauched a massive  market offensive and re-positioning campaign under the leadership of their new managing director Mikael Storåkers, a well known advertising magnate, backed by its owners the Lundin family, the oil barons. We welcome this cut throat competition and look forward to an exciting future in the ever more international Swedish auction market.

See more units in our portfolio and keep your eyes open for much more to come!
