The Christmas present of the decade: PA&Co – More than a cookbok

Our massive new cookbook is released on 23 November. As the title indicates, it's much more than that...

We've talked it up several times already here on BrittonBritton.com. Now the moment of truth has come. 23 November is the release date for our book PA&Co – Mer än en kokbok (PA&Co – More than a cookbok) (Stockholm New Publishing). With such an alarmingly pretentious title, we're putting quite a bit of pressure on ourselves to deliver, and don't worry – we do. PA&Co – More than a cookbook really is more of the most: a mighty 332-page piece well worthy of the mighty legend of this tiny Stockholm restaurant whose patrons celebrate their 20-year anniversary this fall. The book includes more than 90 recepies, classics as well as novelties, all photographed by master still-life photographer Pelle Bergström. The extensive suite of portraits of regulars and patrons and more is of course shot by fashion superstar Mikael Jansson. Master fashion illustrator and artist Mats Gustafson contributes an exclusive piece, which is also the cover of the book. In addition, PA&Co – More than a cookbook reveals, once and for all, the true story of this groundbreaking, trendsetting bistro, beyond myths and legends, in a highly personal, wildly burlesque story of short novel format, written by Claes Britton. Swedish authors Stig Larsson and Klas Östergren, rock star Mauro Scocco and British-Canadian editor and lifestyle guru Tyler Brulé, the founder of Wallpaper magazine, also contribute their own personal stories. There are lots more on top of that. If this book experience isn't enough to fulfill you – then your name must be Obelix! In its first edition, PA&Co – More than a cookbook is published in Swedish only (except from Tyler's text), but we have plans for an English edition. Until then, you can order the Swedish version through adlibris.com, bokus.com or a number of other websites – or hurry hurry to the bookstore, as this promises to be the Christmas present of choice not only for this year...

”Two wild boar for me too, thank you!”
- French comics hero Obelix´ classic order when his partner Asterix orders two wild boar for the pair at the village inn.
